Virtual Education Classroom – Grades 5th – 12th
About the Program
ICPA Preparatory School is dedicated to preparing young, aspiring pre-professional performers entering grades 5-12 as they pursue their passion for either college or careers in the performing arts. Our pre-college performing arts curriculum in music, dance, and theatre is delivered by our experienced faculty, who are recognized for both their dedication to teaching and as outstanding professional artists. After school dance classes are available at no additional cost to Prep School students.
Admissions are by audition only, and auditions are held at the beginning of each semester (though special requests may be made for unusual circumstances). Prior to auditioning, we suggest that interested students come to spend an afternoon at our school so they can get a feel for our performing arts classes. Audition materials should be based on the student’s primary area of interest: music, theatre/vocal studies, or dance. Following auditions, students will receive notification of whether or not they have been accepted into the program.
To schedule either a tour or an audition, please call or leave a message using the form on this page.
Academics are an integral part of our Prep School program. Once accepted into the program, the academic director will discuss school options to help the parent and student determine the best school choice. Classes are held from 8:30am-4:00pm Monday-Friday, and students are monitored on-site at ICPA by certified teachers and instructors. We have a partnership with iUniversity Prep (see below), but we are open to other options such as homeschool programs, and many of our students also participate in our after-school private lessons and classes.
iUniversity Prep is a virtual school offered by Grapevine Colleyville ISD, and was recently selected as the BEST Virtual School in Texas. We invite you to check them out www.iuniversityprep.org (opens in a new window/tab). iUniversity Prep provides “live lessons,” with teachers who are also readily available to support and tutor students during and after hours. Students attending ICPA and iUniversity Prep can receive a Fine Arts Credit for their Music classes, and may also pre-arrange to have after school dance classes count as off-campus PE credit.
Please contact the director for tuition fees. After-school dance classes are included in the cost of the Prep School.
